We all have times when we have sudden cravings to munch something. This recipe is a quick antidote for hunger in those busy busy hours at work or idle lazy saturday afternoons, equally.  Light, sweet, tangy, awesome..

  • 1/2 oz Raw peanuts
  • 15  Curry leaves, torn
  • 11/2 Green chillies, slit in fourths and halved
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 6 tsp Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Granular citric acid
  • 1 tsp Canola oil
Lightly dry roast puffed rice and peanuts separately till crunchy and keep aside.

Add oil in a wok , add cumin and mustard seeds. Let them splutter. Stir in green chillies and curry leaves, sauté half a minute. Add turmeric powder, mix. Now add the roasted puffed rice and peanuts. Remove from flame and add sugar and citric acid, mix fast , mix thoroughly. Let it cool and store in an air tight container. Keep  munching.  Enjoy!!

  1. yummy and delicious snack.. looks awesome !!

  2. yup ,with a great shelf life too. If anytime u feel the murmura is moistened as in rains, lightly dry roast on low flame stirring continously for a minute and the recipe regains its fresh taste.
