The word Salsa conjures metaphors like action ,emotion, freedom and energy. Just like the dance form, this recipe is a frenetic rendezvous of flavors in your mouth. Well the american football season has begun and chips with salsa is a staple in my house for the whole season. My husband loves it and i have had many permutation combination to the basic recipe. I share the simplest salsa here, which you can come up in a jiffy.
Ingredients:
- 7-8 Roma tamatoes, diced
- 1/2 Jalapeno chilly, diced
- 1/4 red onion , diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, grated
- Handful or fresh cilantro/ coriander leaves
- Juice of a lemon ( add more or less to your taste)
- Salt to taste
Take all the ingredients and pulse in a mixer depending on the texture and consistency you would like. We love our salsa chunky so i generally pulse the least i can.
Serve chilled with fresh crispy tortilla chips ( try chips by El milagro's) or layer the salsa in your Seven-layer dip
Yum!!
